Swift Foiling Wing Range – our dedicated wing surfing board.

A winter of punishing prototype testing and optimisation has given rise to the Wing range. The design utilises both the properties of Carbon and Innegra, being both strong, lightweight yet tough and durable.

The features that make every wingboard

  • High volume yet comparatively short. This keeps swing weight down resulting in a responsive, manoeuvrable board with the feel of one far smaller. Keeping the boards wide also helps with off-the-foil stability. This is very beneficial from kneeling right up to take off.

  • Every board is designed with an optimal volume distribution that provides buoyancy where it is needed. Put simply you can stand in one position, from off the foil, right through to flying around.

  • Double concave bow greatly reduces drag during touchdowns, helps keeps the board tracking straight pre-takeoff.

  • Bevelled rails provide easy release during take off and reduced drag during touchdowns

The smallest, lightest and most manoeuvrable in the range with all the same great features that make the Wing-series.

Best suited to the more experienced or light weight rider due to its reduced volume.

Don’t be fooled by its small size, low weight and bullet proof construction the Wing 90L will get you charging down faces and getting airborne in no time.

BAR GRAPHS HERE

The board for every condition. It is still agile enough to be throwing down turns in the surf while keeping enough buoyancy for those light wind days.

The compact design and comparatively high volume of the Wing 100 keeps swing weight to a minimum giving the feel of a far smaller board.

The best option for any rider looking for that one board, it will keep pace with your progression and will handle all the conditions you throw at it.

The Wing 120 is the quickest way to start foiling.

With 120L of buoyancy and a width of 30”, it provides our most stable platform for take off.   While keeping the length and weight to a minimum reduces the swing weight of the board giving it the feel of a much smaller board.

On light wind days it is still the board of choice for many of our experienced riders.  And the board even doubles as a small foiling SUP for the advanced rider for those no wind days.

Technical features on all our boards

State of the art design profile

Double concave profile

The double concave ‘V shaped’ bow parts water during touchdowns, reducing hydrodynamic drag helping you to effortlessly bounce straight back up onto the foil.

Kick tail

A cut back rear to make an easy transition from floating to foiling

Detailed design touches

Futures fin box

No corners cut. Futures fin boxes mounted in hard density foam with carbon reinforcement provide a rock solid platform to transfer your every movement to the mast.

Flush mounted handle

We install lifting handles on the bottom to make getting to the water that bit easier. It is fitted on the bottom so that the wing can be kept away from the foil when carrying both board and wing down the beach for your session

Solid construction

Fit and forget vent plug

We fit a self venting plug into the deck. This prevents the building of pressure within the board, caused by changes in core temperature or altitude when flying. Unlike a regular vent plug which needs to be opened to allow this, a self venting plug will allow your board to breathe whenever it needs.

Screw points are provided for footstraps

Carbon Innegra construction

Combining the toughness of the Innegra with the stiffness of the Carbon allows us to manufacture a strong yet lightweight board that won't ding every time it takes a knock.

Pigmented epoxy resin

We pigment the epoxy during construction rather than painting our boards. With us there is no paint, no filler, no nonsense.

Frequently asked questions about our wingboards

When you order, you will be able to see our stock level of standard pre-made boards.   These will can be shipped within 24 hours or can be picked up by appointment.

If you order something special then this will normally take 2-3 weeks to build.

We are committed to getting your board to you as quickly as possible! We use the highest quality carbon and foam available and make all our boards ourselves in the UK.

If left in direct sunlight and or prolonged heat your board may eventually distort or delaminate. Always keep your board stored in cool and covered environments.   Do NOT leave it in the direct sunlight for extended periods.

There is a self venting plug fitted to the deck of every board.  This prevents the building up of pressure within the board caused by changes in core temperature or altitude when flying.

Yes – all our boards can be used with any plate mounted foil. We do not manufacture boards with tuttle plate attachments at this time.

All our boards have a marking on themas a reference to assist in positioning your foil and to keep track of your placement. In general, the further forward you place your foil on the boxes the more lift your foil creates and the further back you place your foil the less lift your foil will create. Your foil placement will vary depending on skill level, size of board & size of wave or speed you will be flying. We recommend starting with less lift (further back) until you feel comfortable with your foil and placement.

Here at swift foiling we are big believers in the freedom you get riding strapless

We strongly advise beginner to ride strapless until proficiently foiling in both directions

Strap placement will be different for all riders and for different foils. We suggest you start by mounting your foot straps in the middle and your foil mounted in the centre of the track. This gives you a good base to start from with plenty of adjustment to suit your style of riding.

YES, foiling is an inherently dangerous activity. Always wear a helmet when riding a foil board. Never foil around others and be vigilant of your surroundings. Just as in all watersports, respect your community and the rules of the beach that you are at.

Waves that barely break are actually perfect for foiling. At FFB we are surfers who foil! Please do not foil in or around other surfers. Most would agree that if you are foiling in waves where people are surfing you are in the WRONG SPOT! The absolute best foiling waves are the ones that no one else is looking at! The slow crumbler that breaks and then fades into a rolling swell is the PERFECT FOIL WAVE. Please respect the surfers and stay out of the lineup with your foil board!
